Acoustics By Design worked directly with Calvin College to enhance the natural acoustics and to design new audio-visual and lighting Systems in this historical space in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. The facility will be used to house many local events including Calvin's Student Concert Series. Our professional engineers developed plans for a first floor tech booth for the audio system and a second floor booth for the video system. The design included specifications for an intercom system for the backstage areas, support spaces, and green rooms for performing guests. The college has implemented our design for the audio and video systems and has future plans to incorporate our recommendations for the acoustics, lighting and catwalk system.
