Project Description: Reminiscent of diesel truck fenders and grilles, the extended lobby provides a progressive element against the long façade and reflects the technological nature of the company characterized by precision and innovation. What was for years a nondescript service zone has been transformed into a technological showplace during the day and a glowing beacon at night.
Jury Comment: A fabulous small scale use of square footage but a big scale statement. The detailing of the metal coping folding over the roof coping is particularly transformational from the existing. Also, the re-working of the exterior landscape helps create the sense of front door.
