Project Description: The adaptive reuse of a 40 year old former lumber warehouse into urban loft space preserves the building's industrial character and introduces contemporary design elements, while providing homeowners privacy, space, and comfort-features that are not typically included in traditional lofts nearby.
Jury Comment: This project is a classic case of making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The beauty of the finished product relies on the simple use of materials; nothing over-done, nothing gratuitous.
