Design Plus

Design Plus provided architecture, design and construction documentation of a new 47,000 SF family fitness and recreation center located in a suburban setting. The facility includes one swimming pool, a full court gymnasium and wellness/exercise area, aerobics/dance studio, youth/teen adventure center, child watch area, separate locker areas for men, women, families, and administrative offices. Future addition may include walking/jogging track, family pool, additional gymnasium with basketball courts, additional locker facilities, and additional wellness areas. The project was completed in 2005 with a total construction cost of $9,000,000. In 2007, we were hired to design a 17,796 SF expansion that includes a new family gymnasium, multi-purpose room, climbing wall, group cycling studio, family and youth wellness, family locker rooms, and an expanded infants room, as well as the design for a future indoor track. The construction cost is estimated at $2,000,000, with completion anticipated in the spring of 2008.
