The concept for the design of the addition and renovation of the church building sought to blend the old and new buildings into one new structure that reflects the importance of the events taking place within -- a building that makes its own unique expression of identity, and one that also fits well into the residential neighborhood. The new seating layout was designed to reinforce the sense of community among the 800 worshipers gathering to celebrate the Eucharist. The new chapel creates a link with the past in its location in the former church building constructed in 1951.
