Gary is currently Principal, Corporate Marketing and a member of the Board of Directors for Harley Ellis Devereaux, one of the area's largest architecture and engineering firms. He earned both a Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from The University of Michigan. Upon completion of his degrees, Gary served as a project designer for Christopher Wvrachy & Associates for four years. He then moved to TMP Associates as a senior project designer until he accepted a position with Harley Ellis Devereaux. At Harley Ellis Devereaux, Guy has assumed many pivotal roles, including Project Designer, Director of Design, and Studio Leader of the firm's Science & Research practice where he spearheaded the development of this group and established a national design reputation resulting in recognition of the firm as one of 16 top design firms nationally for science facilities.

Gary has taken an active role in his profession. He has been involved with the AIA for over 25 years. He is a Past President of both AIA Detroit and AIA Michigan, and received his ATA Fellowship in 1998.
