Project Description

Driesenga & Associates, Inc. (D&A) served as a consultant to Davis Partnership Architects and to the Hospital, to design and implement campus improvements including drive circulation and drop off area, parking and storm water drainage improvements, site utilities, maintenance building, segmental block retaining walls and geoweb retaining wall. During the design, D&A provided civil engineering, geotechnical engineering and limited design survey. Throughout construction civil engineering services, materials testing / inspection and construction staking services were provided. Spectrum United Memorial Hospital undertook a 49,000 square foot expansion, consisting of a foot surgery and patient wing on the southwest side of the hospital. To accommodate this building addition the parking lot and site utilities were reconfigured, oxygen storage tanks and the maintenance building were also relocated.
