Description

Transform this once regional office location into the corporate headquarters for an electric utility company. The completed building, now doubled in its' size, functions as if it were originally designed as a building of this square footage. Space planning included; creating a new main entry/lobby, customer service area, board room, training rooms, employee break room, data server room, open work spaces, and individual offices. The exterior facade of the three-story addition included large windows allowing high levels of natural lighting into the building. The project scope included upgrading the HVAC system, data communications system, lighting system and installing a fire suppression system throughout the building. A veneer of brick encloses this steel frame building with pre-cast concrete plank floors. The framing of the existing roof was reinforced to accommodate snow-drift loading from the taller addition.
