Heyboer & Komdeur Electric, Inc.

Kent Companies, Inc.
Hope Network is a Michigan-based organization that provides care for individuals with special needs. Kent Companies was contacted by Hope Network when the floors began sinking, walls began separating from the ceilings, showers started leaking, underground pipes began breaking and wheel chairs were not staying in place at Hope Network’s Arbor Circle location. Kent quickly responded and gathered a team of experienced soils experts and began searching for a solution. Ultimately, it was determined that the current facility was built on top of a demolished building.
Kent determined that the quickest and least disruptive repair plan was to remove the interior floor, excavate over 65 cubic yards of soil and install helical piers to carry the load of a new floor and walls. Kent Companies' crews installed helical piers and performed demolition and excavation and installed the reinforced concrete grade beams and a structural slab on grade to create a self-supporting structural floor. The floors are now level, doors fit properly, walls are plumb and Hope Network is top-notch care in the top-notch facilities it is known for. This project is a perfect example of multiple Kent Companies Specialites teaming up to provide a solution to a difficult problem.
