Description

The largest part of the project consisted of a brand new Athletic Complex at the Bloomingdale High School – a new football stadium with synthetic turf, home and visitor bleachers, and a rubberized track as well as a new baseball field with dugouts.

The Athletic Complex at Bloomingdale Public Schools consists of synthetic turf from Keifer / Mondo brand. Under the turf there is a considerable amount of aggregate material and under drain piping to ensure maximum playability in all weather.  The turf has a rubber sand mix that gives the field a heavier more realistic grass feel.  The turf is also of the monofilament variety.

The track is a latex rubber track along with the D zones at each end of the track.  The elevated home grand stands and press box are all new as well as the visitor stands.  Both sets of stands are all built to meet ADA standards and give the Owner more seating capacity.

Along with the fields the construction consisted of a new ticket / toilet / concession building at the entry to both the baseball and football fields.
