Description
CSM Group’s initial work with Toyota Tsusho America began in 1998, when the firm acted as Construction Manager for an 86,000-square-foot CECO pre-engineered metal building with 40 truck docks and the capacity to house up to 90 semi trailers. With construction taking place in an undeveloped 50-acre industrial park, CSM Group coordinated work with The City of Battle Creek to provide mass grading to clear the area, build an extended road to the facility, reroute utilities, and allow for future expansion to the building and grounds. In 2001, work began on a 90,000-square-foot addition at the rear of the original facility. The area between the two buildings was kept open to truck traffic while a new drive and fire loops were constructed behind the addition. This allowed operations to continue smoothly and uninterrupted until the new addition was completed and the two buildings could be tied together.Companies On This Project
