Description

This project, known as Project Arrow, entailed design services required for expansion of controlled vehicular entry into this industrial facility. These entry improvements included: new paving, gated access management and redefining of secure perimeter in an area of a high groundwater table. The goal for this project was to provide adequate controlled-access to this site for both employee car traffic as well as truck access to loading facilities. This allowed for a common point of entry that effectively managed circulation and minimized vehicular congestion. Driesenga & Associates, Inc. provided the survey and geotechnical exploration required to support design of new site improvements. Civil engineering services included a complete site design package, as well as coordination with City of Elkhart’s Department of Public Works for commercial entry to Public Street (CR 15), and preparation of final design plans and specifications for improvements. Driesenga & Associates, Inc. documents were prepared such that they could be integrated with Clients overall bid set of documents.
