Description

This project consisted of the construction of a new corporate office building for Zeeland Farm Services. Zeeland Farm Services refines and bleaches soybeans at their plant in the agricultural town of Zeeland, MI. Driesenga & Associates, Inc. was involved in all aspects of the site design ranging from conceptual site layout to the final grading, drainage, and utility service for the new facility. The project required working with the Township, County Road and Drain Commissions for all necessary approvals. The project was a LEED certified project, and D&A was involved in designing the site to LEED requirements and supplying proper documentation to secure the certification. In addition, D&A provided surveying services including a topographic survey, construction layout and staking, as well as geotechnical investigation and construction materials testing.
