Description

  • East Muskegon Roofing and Sheet Metal was hired for the roofing portion of the project.  This project brought several challenges.  We worked on a very small site in a residential area with an extremely aggressive time frame and an extensive roofing system.

 

  • The roofing system starts by priming and installing a vapor barrier on the new concrete roof deck.  Then there are layers of insulation set in a foam adhesive.  The membrane layers are a multi-ply SBS system set in cold adhesive.  Finally there is a white coating applied.  This system qualifies for LEED credits.  This is a LEED certified facility.

 

  • We worked closely as a team with the construction manager, architect, owner, and other trades to ensure keeping with the establised schedule and all the proper safety precautions.
