Feyen Zylstra’s electrical construction group was retained to design and install the electrical systems for the building. To comply with “green” building standards, the lighting design was for no more than 1.0 watt/square foot, using differing task and ambient lighting. Lighting controls such as occupancy sensors were installed to decrease energy costs, and outdoor electrical outlets were installed to accommodate alternative transportation. Coordination with the other trades was a special challenge.
