Descriptions
ERMCO, Inc.
ERMCO, Inc. is excited to have been a part of the Clarian I.U.Simon Cancer Center project. The project included the addition of a 5 story, 350,000 sq. ft. structure and a renovation of 15,000 sq. ft. of existing space. The new facility will have the capacity for 80 new cancer treatment beds, facilities for up to 40 patients receiving chemotherapy, as well as many other patient and family amenities. This facility will also provide space for both in-patient and out-patient care.
The entire facility was designed with patient environment in mind. This included more private spaces as well as some unique features such as live bamboo groves, twinkling bug shaped lights, custom artwork, and a programmable color-changing LED light wall.
The building is located adjacent to both the University Hospital as well as the Cancer Pavilion becoming a bridge between the two and providing easy access to all three structures. This also will allow for much of the existing Cancer spaces at the Medical center to be reused.
ERMCO's work on the project included the Lighting Controls and Dimming System, Patient Physiological Monitoring System, Nurse Call System, MATV, Fire Alarm System, Static UPS System, Generator, Paralleling Switchgear and Emergency Power Systems, and Power Distribution.
