The Allegiant P.U.D. in North Myrtle Beach implements a critical approach to the conventional planned unit development along the Grand Strand. Rooted in a sustainable approach that reinvents a synergistic model between environmental, economic, and social/cultural quality, the masterplan embraces a unique program layered with interactivity. Sustainable methodologies explore groundbreaking techniques in dunal restoration/erosion control, organic roof farming and species remediation as well as an ambitious model for a diverse transportation plan.
The architecture and planning itself is infused with daylighting techniques, natural ventilation and cooling processes, energy reduction, and renewable energies through building integrated photovoltaics.
