Description

This project is an outstanding example of efficient space usage in design and construction. Many areas were designed and constructed for mulit-use, resulting in a very cost-efficient building program.

Features:
- A stage was built at the end of the 1,500-seat gymnasium, so the facility can be used for events other than sports.

- Kitchen is centrally located to serve the district’s other buildings

- School accommodates 550 students, and includes 30 classrooms, cafeteria, and library

- Communications system features monitors in each classroom, connected to an antenna system

- Outdoor facilities include a football practice field, and baseball and softball diamonds

- Building program also included additions and renovations to Sand Lake Elementary and MacNaughton Elementary schools. The former high school was renovated for use as the district’s middle school.
