Description

This project is currently under construction. Project scope includes 533 additional beds. The new addition is 122,900 sf and the renovations total 19,500 sf.

Scheduling, logistics, safety and security are all top priorities, as the additions and renovations are taking place on the occupied campus. All construction is multi-phased to accommodate the migration of inmates as housing units become available for occupancy.

Additions will be made to the sheriff’s office and the jail and will include a pre-classification pod with video courtrooms, holding tanks and housing units.

A geothermal heating and cooling system is estimated to save the County over 50% on the cost of heating and cooling the facility each year.
