Description

Herman Miller's new showroom located in Los Angeles, California, opened on August 17, 2009, after one year of construction.

Previously a warehouse, the new 18,000 square foot facility received LEED CI Platinum certification. This is the first LEED Platinum facility in Los Angeles and 47th LEED Platinum facility in the world. The space boasts energy-efficient fixtures throughout and MBDC, BIMFA level and GREENGUARD certified products and materials.

20 percent of the building materials and products used in the project were manufactured within 500 miles of the site. Over 85 percent of all construction waste was recycled and diverted from the landfill during construction.
