Sustainable & LEED

Pioneer Construction is a recognized leader in the sustainable building movement. ENR Magazine, an industry leading trade publication, named Pioneer Construction the #1 Green Builder in West Michigan and in the top 100 in the country for the past two consecutive years.

In addition, Pioneer recently became the first builder in the Mid-West and only the ninth in the entire nation to receive the Certified Green Contractor designation from the Associated Builders and Contractors. Pioneer is also an active member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

With numerous LEED projects completed and successfully certified, and many more underway for which we are pursuing certification, we are confident in our ability to deliver sustainable building programs and navigate the ever-changing certification process. We have successfully completed LEED Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum projects on a variety of construction types. With this experience, we have progressed along the learning curve and we have implemented numerous LEED point generating building practices into our standard of operations. Therefore, we are now able to deliver many LEED points with little or no additional initial cost to our clients. Many of our prequalified subcontractors have also gained extensive experience working with us on sustainable building programs.

Whether you are pursuing LEED Certification or would simply like to incorporate responsible and sustainable design and construction methods that provide a financial return, our real-world experience will prove valuable.

If you are considering a sustainable or LEED Certified construction project or if you would like to know more about our sustainability initiatives, please contact us today at 616.247.6966 or via e-mail and we can put our team of experts to work for you!
