Description

Pine Street Elementary School is one of several facilities renovated within the $39 million Wayland Union District bond issue. The exterior and interior of the 1940’s historic school were extensively renovated. The exterior finish system was removed and replaced to match the new window systems. The exterior appearance of the building is now consistent with the original 1940’s style building.

Energy efficient windows and window sills were replaced throughout the school which increased the natural light throughout the building. Energy efficient light fixtures further improve sustainability; as well as the look and feel of the school.

The administration area and staff offices were renovated along with the installation of a security system. The student playground was replaced and the basketball area repaved along with the installation of new fencing and landscaping around the school.
